I moved here after living in Hyattsville, MD. Needless to say it's a BIG improvement. Very quiet and I feel fairly safe here, with the exceptions of the time I saw a man walking down the sidewalk naked as I turned into the community and there's a problem with the lighting in the hallway of my buildng. They CLAIM that the lights are photocell, but when it's dark outside, or near dark, you would think that the lights would be on already. I've complained several times, but to no avail. I guess it's going to take someone getting HURT going down the stairs to realize that the lights inside the buildings aren't working properly.
They respond to my maintenance requests in a fairly decent timeframe. I did have a problem where I called to report my AC not working during the summer when it was over 90 degrees outside. I placed the call and it took three days to get it fixed. The first day, no one came to look at the unit. The second day, someone came in, but they didn't fix it; the only way I knew that someone had been in the apartment was because he left his clipboard - so I had to remind the leasing staff that notification has to be left when someone enters your apartment - it's written in the lease! The third day after numerous calls, they finally brought be a window unit until they were able to fix the unit.
But other than that, it's a beautiful community and convenient to all of Columbia and the major highways
One word of advice - if you're unsure of what your water bill is, CALL THE OFFICE. I couldn't find my water bill, so I estimated how much it was. I was off by $3.80. Do you know they charged a $10.00 late fee''''' Needless to say, I was NOT happy.

Overall - I'm happy with this community. This is the FIRST time I've EVER renewed a rental agreement with a community. I have the fireplace, washer/dryer,vaulted ceilings, ceiling fan- everything that I look for in an apartment home.
