worst apartment ever. maintenance was half-assed at best (just one example: i asked them to clean up the phone wiring in my closet, which was a huge mess of wires, and their fix was to put duct tape over it then paint the tape). the office staff is rude and unhelpful. you can hear through the ceiling much more than in the new place we're in (moved out this month - finally!). at the end of a one year lease for $1302 / mo, they were going to raise the rent to $1700 to go month-to-month. the carpet in the apt. was the worst carpet i've ever seen - after over a year (and numerous vacumings - we vacumed the entire apt. 4 times when we first moved in) if you drop something dark colored on the floor, it is immediately covered in carpet fiber. then, when we moved out, they informed us we had to have the carpet professionally cleaned as part of the standard move out procedures, and provide them with a receipt, or they would bill us $150 to do it. the area inside my building where the stairs and mailboxes were was poorly maintained and the paint was always peeling.
