Not that good
From: -Anonymous-Date posted: 9/2/2008
Years at this apartment: 2007 - 2008
Moved in August of last year and thankfully just moved out.
Good Points:
-Large rooms
-Just repaved the parking lot
-Close to shopping center
-The staff is nice enough
Bad points:
-Whenever there were maintenance issues they took forever to get fixed. With the new company (Laramar) things seemed to be on the ball for the first month they were here then it was worse than ever.
-In July the washer in our unit was broken for 2 weeks straight.
-The police had to be called on our upstairs neighbors several times for domestic dispuits and shouting in the middle of the night.
-The floors creak like crazy on the 2nd and 3rd floors.
-Stained/bubbled ceiling in the fromt bathroom, there was obviously a half-assed attempt at covering up a bad leak from the toilet above
-Our balcony concrete was stained with who knows what by the previous tenants.
-Some of the doors won't close completely, which I understand is from the building shifting in it's old age but it's till annoying
-Our oven seemed to leak excessive propane gas whenever we tried to bake something, like it took a minute or two before it would ignite, we told maintenance about it because that can't be safe but they never fixed it.
-They said that our rent upon renewal would be the special 'previous renters' rate (we were good residents too, always paid on time, quiet, kept to ourselves) of $1365 a month (a 254$ increase), and to look for "great new things around the community" like their new design center and internet cafe...how do those things help me' I have internet, and even if I didn't why would I want to be limited by their hours while being surrounded by the disrespectful neighborhood kids' A new design center doesn't get my washer fixed. Yeah, what great reasons to try and squeeze an extra $3,000 a year out of my wallet.
That's about it, I suppose it could've been worse, right'
