This is one very negative place to live. Over the time I have lived at Grand Pointe, I have seen a clear deterioration of security in the highrise. My own opinion is that both residents and the management are responsible for this. For example, the lights around the driveway often do not work. I have informed the management about this on several occasions and nothing was done about it. Second, I have observed that the bar lock on the back door has been constantly taped so the door wouldn't lock.
I also have seen the front door left ajar. This means anyone can walk into the building which is frightening.
Last week, a young woman was sexually assaulted in the high rise. While I felt very frightened when I heard this, I cannot say that I didn't see something like this coming. I observed the door to the laundry room in which the woman was attacked to have been broken for months even though the management was informed about it.
The management loses its management staff frequently. People quit. The attitude of the staff could often best be described as blase
if not arrogant when approached about problems. There is often denial or minimization of the problem on the part of management which I find very disturbing.
