I'd take a pass...

I don't think my experience (in the high-rise) was as bad as some folks in the garden apartments, but I can't say I'd recommend it to someone. The folks in the office are nice, but I never talk to the same one twice - I think they turn over employees quite frequently. Maintenance has been very responsive. My biggest peeves are people who clearly don't live in the building coming in and using laundry facilities and making a disgusting mess, and really, REALLY lame parking. I was not comfortable at all walking up to the building from the nether regions of the parking lots in the dark! Perks were that my apartment was in pretty good shape when I moved in, and there was lots of closet space. Loved the balcony; hated the ugly car parked in the courtyard area that I had to look at from the balcony. I get the INS comment from the poster below - I definitely think there are lots of units that have way more tenants than they should and sometimes it seems like there's no possible way all these people can be living in the complex. It wasn't horrendous, but I'm moving out in the next few weeks and I won't be missing Grand Pointe.
