I did my apartment search based on ApartmentRatings.com and that was a wise choice. Harpers Forest was my last stop and well worth it. The community is older (in the leasing lady's words it is well established)but it is kept up very well. The grounds were clean and the apartment looked like new. I liked the fact that they show you the actual apartment you will be getting and not some over the top model that looks NOTHING like what you get.
I saw some pictures on this site of some beat up apartment that I'm assuming a tenant uploaded. I would find it hard to believe that they would allow someone to live like that. My guess would be a disgruntled tenant looking for a way out of paying rent. Nonetheless, the apartment is big enough to suit my needs and inexpensive enought to fit my wallet. Friendly office and neighbors who actually say hello.
