WORST IDEA EVER!!!!!! They didn't give me the floor plan I asked for, the stove didn't work on my move in date, and was never completely fixed. The maintenance people made me aware that the wiring for electricity was faulty. There was a decaying squirrel in my maintenance room, and my air conditioning was broken for 3 weeks, and during the summer it was HOT! During all of this there was an open hole leading to outside in my maintenance room, hence how the squirrel got in. There was also a build up of mold I got sick from. The staff is uncaring, and just wants their money, they will not write you back a letter if you ask for their help and response politely. The cabinets were falling off, and would not shut all of the way. The microwave was broken, and to say in an easy way, this place was ghetto! My neighbors were doing coke, and constantly knocked on my door at 3 a.m. to wake me up, and threw a beer bottle at my car, and cracked the windshield. When I asked for some help or a type of compensation to move to a different area on the grounds the staff admitted they should move me, but wanted me to sign up for a new lease, and pay more money. I took them to court and won over $3,000. The judge was appalled to say the least. Do not waste your time, it's a heartache of problems, and I work and am in school, and it was more than i could bare. Honestly, do not listen to any positive feedback given, it could only possibly come from EXTREMELY low standards.

This is exactly right! The internet & community is full of these kinds of experiences by tenants past & present. And Harpers Forest Mgmt will look straight in your eyes to say 'you're the only one who ever complains,' but of course anybody who has lived here knows that's not true! When it comes to both personal & professional qualities regarding Harpers Forest & Maryland Management you must conclude 'being honorable' is not one of them!

I think I lived in your appartment before you did. I whole hartedly agree they swindled and lied to me. I bought the lease and they said lost the papers and that I owed them thousands of dollars, luckily I kept the documents and reciepts. I had a squarls nest in my utility room too and mold everywhere from where the pipes burst and I got sick as well. They never cleaned up all of the mold and then other residents keyed my car and threatened to kill me when I called the police. I had to move its just so awful I wouldn,t wish this place on my worst enemy. I am glad you won your case.
