A car was stolen and an apartment was broken into since management changed from Buzzoto to Fairfield. I'm not saying anything bad about Fairfield, but they've only been here for a month. The apartments are nice...as long as you don't get jumped or jacked. Seriously.

P.S. My wife now runs to her car!!! You'll get fit here - you have to be...TO SURVIVE!!!

Obviously all of you have lived privileged and very sheltered lives. If you really want to know what its like to live in the ghetto and survive, move out of Columbia. It is pathetic how scared you guys are and how quickly you pass judgment. It is likely the people you are afraid of are the same high wage earning upper crust individuals like yourself. Please get out more often, for your own sake and stop being so paranoid. You know nothing of the ghetto and the true perils of having to survive it.

I grew up near where Kendall Ridge is located. It isn't what it used to be, but crime is not a huge problem in the area. Heck, now that I live in a "good" neighborhood in Baltimore City I no longer worry about anyplace in Columbia- even compared to my "good" Baltimore neighborhood (Mt. Washington), crime is virtually non-existent in even the worst parts of Columbia. No matter where you live, apartments and homes occasionally get broken into, and in rich areas like Columbia especially, cars get stolen. Get insurance, and if you are really worried get an alarm, but that goes without saying wherever you live.
