Update!
Sadly, we're leaving the Club Merion. I would love to pick up the place & take it with me. It's a great value, the staff is always friendly, & will do just about anything within reason to help you. What impressed me the most during my two years here, is that things do go wrong, but they're on them immediately until it's fixed to your satisfaction.
Also, we had two people living in a 1 bedroom, so though we thought it was small at first, it fit us just fine while we were here. It's worth every penny & more. We'll miss it!

I've been at the Merion about a month, & chose to look at it initially because of the reviews on this site. It really is true; The Merion is well-maintained, friendly AND responsive staff & maintenance team, polite neighbors (shocking after 7 years in D.C.!), and you get what you pay for. It's usually the other way around with apartments. You pay & pay & get zip... or worse.
Columbia apartments do tend to be pricey, but I looked around quite a bit, & I wouldn't change my mind given the chance. Neighborhood surrounding Merion is appropriately populated (not overpopulated), & cheerful. It's also been very safe compared to other communities I've lived in as a female tenant. Also, the apartments are very quiet, no "banging" between apartments & floors.

All in all a steal for the area. (Of course, that's how you keep your tenants!)I'd say the reviews on this site for Columbia are quite accurate.
I'm not assoc. with the company or complex, just a happy customer... that's how you get good press!
