Overpriced sardine can

Years at this apartment: 2005 - 2006
I chose this place in haste because I needed a place to live rather quickly. I didn't look closely enough.
The fitness room was what sold me and I still think that is the nicest feature, esp. since it's open 24 hrs.
But as for everything else:
Maintenance: One of the 2 maintenance staff has a bad attitude and doesn't want to fix anything that's too complicated (anything more difficult than changing a light bulb) He makes it sound like the problem is your fault, or says "it's working fine, there's nothing we can do."
Management: Had to call headquarters on them a few times because the maintenance staff wasn't fixing anything I asked them to and management didn't seemt to want to help the situation. They would make an attempt, but repairs were done as cheaply as possible and not so surprisingly didn't fix the problem. Finally, after a year, we reached an understanding. But it shouldn't take that long.
The apartments are small for the price and all the appliances and cabinets are old (1970s style cabinets and tile) When the wood broke on one of the cabinet doors, they glued it to fix it. (it had been previously glued) instead of at least replacing the strip of wood.
The location is nice. The grounds are nicely kept, but the niceties are superficial. Take a closer look.
