Can't wait to leave...
From: -Anonymous-Date posted: 5/23/2009
Years at this apartment: 2008 - 2009
Reasons for leaving: (1) 3 bug infestations in 10 months - first one flies, then 2 rounds of ants. Previous management was too cheap to get pros out here in a timely fashion to deal with the problems, so they persisted for some time. (2) Lousy heat pump ate me alive in heating bills this past winter - complained to Victor, the primary maintainence guy, and was assured that "that's just how heat pumps work." (3) Doors and walls are so thin that, according to my wife, when she's cooking dinner, she has to listen to our upstairs neighbor urinating in his bathroom. I can clearly listen to conversations happening at the main front door for the building, at the far end of the lobby, when sitting on the sofa in my living room. (4) Our first week here, my son's bike was stolen from our patio. (5) Previous management lied to me about parking - said it was fine, when it's almost non-existent after 7 PM. (6) With no pool, no workout facilities, and lousy neighbors, combined with my other issues, I wouldn't stay here for anything more than $ 900.00/month - and when I asked them for a quote to stay, they wanted to raise my rent to $ 1,318.00/month, even though they have empty apartments all over the place that they can't sell, because of how many people are leaving.
