Getting out of here

Lived here for almost a year and can't wait to leave. Don't get me wrong, if you are moving to Maryland for the first time, Columbia is a prime location but it is going to suck your pocket dry. The rent is not worth paying for. I will not go into details, but the maintenance here has been horrible. Imagine sitting in an apartment with no air conditioning and the temp inside is 95 degrees. Then it supposedly gets fixed. Then you find out 6 months later that it was never fixed properly because they paid someone much less to "jimmy rig" it. Because of the "jimmy rig", the heat didn't work when it was freezing cold outside. Good thing there is a fireplace, but you know, I shouldn't have had to buy firewood if they would've fixed the thing right in the first place. Staff is sneaky nice. AKA they are nice when you are not bugging them to fix something. Don't ever call the office, no one will answer. SO if you are at work and trying to get someone to fix a problem while you are away, forget it. You can leave 50 messages, THEY DONT CALL BACK. Area is not friendly. Never see neighbors, but if I do, they don't speak. Oh yeah, and it took over a week for them to fix my oven at one point. Bottom line, save some money and move to another area. Columbia is way over-rated and Reflections is not worth the $$$$$$. Oh yeah and there was a robbery here about three weeks ago.
