It was good at first....

Years at this apartment: 2006 - 2007
Upon first moving in, I really enjoyed Reflections; Betty (office manager) was very nice and was on top of everything. The rent was a bit high for the area (and for what you got) and I was not told that on top of my high rent that water and garbage fees were going to be added, but that again was minmal. Once the apartment changed management in late 2006, however, the situation changed.
The staff is still friendly, however the ability to get work done when things go bad, or the ability to get management to follow up on anything is nonexistant. I tried four times to have an issue taken care of that never was completed. There is constantly snow and ice lingering on the sidewalks and in the parking spaces for days to come following snows, and salt is dropped rarely.
There was an incident where for some reason or another trash was not picked up for more than a week, and it flowed into the apartment area and blew into sight of all. This, though tacky and unclean, would be fine, were it not for the rediculous amount of money being spent on rent, and the fact that no credit was received for the payment that we contribute monthly for that trash to be picked up.
At the end of the day, the facilities are nice (for the most part), and everyone is basically friendly, but it takes more than that to run a successful apartment complex; there is an need for efficiency and punctuality by the staff, and a more professional way of management when dealing with problems, not just a smile and a nod saying that it will be completed.
