Years at this apartment: 2005 - 2007

We've been here close to 2 years now and it is a freaking DUMP now - trash overflows from the dumpsters on a regular basis, there's a rodent problem, ants are everywhere, the list goes on. We chose this complex because it seemed nice and safe - WRONG! There was an armed robbery here a while ago that the leasing office tried to cover up. Drug dealers/users hang out in front of my apartment ALL the time - the leasing office and police don't seem to care when I call to complain. We're paying out the a$$ for a nice sized apartment, but the kitchen and bathroom look fresh out of the 80s and are in desperate need of repair/upgrades. Residents who've been here 10 years are fed up and leaving. Moving in are some SHADY people and I heard a rumor that they're allowing Section 8 housing vouchers because they're down 30%. Awesome.... PLEASE, take my advice and go somewhere else. My lease is up soon and I can't wait to get the heck out of here!!

section 8 housing is the least of your worries moving here. overpriced apartments, bad management and overall poor maintenance would be my larger concern.

Yeah the NEW management informed me that the old management was so far behind on maintenance items, rent was very late, and alot of shady practicies were allowed to happen, well here was my first and I do mean first maintenance call since I had been there, now remember this is the new improved management around July 07 started having dryer issues, tearing our clothes, clothes had a strange metal smell to them-actually contaminated everything and not completely drying as it should. Ok so we waited to make sure the long dry cycle wasn't just a one time thing, by now it was Aug 07, I walked over and politely informed them of the problem, a week goes by, NOTHING, NO ONE, I go back they said ok no problem we will take care of it, I was still polite-they did seem sincere, a week goes by again, I call, they said he will be there today!!! I said great, well my wife happened to be home when he came in, she said that the guy had very very bad body odor, he looked at the dryer said he had to order a part for it, a WEEK goes by again, actually a week and a half, I walk over to the leasing dept, they said, OH sorry hes on vacation and when he returns everything should be ok (put my hand on the bible to this story) ok he gets back from vacation or where ever he was suppose to be, a few days go by, he finally comes over again, well this time he actually did his job and really evaluated the dryer, it appears that the ventilation was clogged with WET lint filled..and with water, never mentioned the "part" he had to order, no one ever said we appologize that you've been loosing clothes being ripped up in the dryer, nor anything about the dryer needing to be on two complete cycles to sort of dry everything for almost 2 months- How about my BGE bill? do you think that had something to do with it going up? not even a refund or hey we ll kick in something to help out....NOTHING, so back to the end of this story.....the manager said she will replace it the dryer with a NEW one on Monday, well that came and went, we finally had to catch the maint dude and say HEY WTH happened this is long enough!!! then they come with an old dryer from who knows where, oh and it actually worked.....problem fixed but with no sort of assistance.....gloves are off, Im exposing more of what really happened here at the reflections and oh yeah the NEW management, wow I guess they have the same problems as the old managment did.....isnt that a shame, honestly I dont think the old management did anything wrong I think they got fed up and quit. But I will say this the new management did know how to enforce policy which is very very important....cause with all the other problems policy enforcement is sooooo important.......
