I was here for a year and I couldn't wait to leave!!!! This place was a nightmare. Here are some of the problems I had with this rental community. This place has a/c, heating and plumbing problems. They went through 3 leasing managers in one year that I leased from them. They also have a high turnover with the maintennance men. They can't keep them. There was a shooting here. The bulbs in the outside lights were burned out. We continued to complain. When the kitchen sink was clogged, they told me sorry we don't have a maintenance guy onsite and we are trying to borrow one from another property to fix it. I waited a week for the clog in my sink to get fixed. Their maintenance staff didn't know how to fix it. He made 2 attempts but said he was from another property. The smell coming from the sink was awful!! I couldn't cook in there it was disgusting. I finally insisted that it was fixed or I was calling a plumber myself and sending them the bill. During the summer months, my a/c broke 5 times!! So I didn't have a/c for 5 weekends during the hot summer months, it was so hot in this little apt. They told me it wasn't over 90 degrees so it would have to wait. They tried to fix it, but again, the guy didn't know how to fix it. It would work for a few days and then stop working. Both my dog and I were so hot since there's not any cross ventilation. I finally bought a window a/c from home depot and put it in the window for some relief. They finally called an outside vendor to repair it after I called the Howard county executives office to complain. She sent out the housing inspector. The vendor said that there was so much dust caked on the unit after years of running and not being cleaned that it was preventing the air flow and that is why it would freeze up and hot air would come out. Needless to say Reflections didn't like it when I called the Ho.Co. exucutives office, so they made it difficult for me for the last few months of my lease. When I needed something fixed it would wait for days. When they did the upgrades on the apts, they gave me two days to pack up everything in the apt., I have a bad back and they didn't offer any help. I had to take a day off work to finish packing things. I lived in dust for a week, and couldn't cook. Then I had to unpack all this stuff again. It was awful. They allow big dogs so the noise in horrible if you are under someone with big dogs. Oh and here is how sneaky they are, when my lease was over and I had returned the keys, 2 weeks later, I get a notice stating a derogitory debt is on my credit report. They reported a collection debt on my credit report for $15, they stated that I didn't pay the final water bill for the month of Dec. They didn't tell me there was an outstanding bill. I couldn't believe it, unbelievable! I am going to talk to my attorney and file a suit against them. It is my understanding that there have been other suits against Reflections. I paid my rent ontime every month. When will these places be held accountable when they don't fix things in a timely manner' One would expect better living conditions when they are paying $1300 a month for rent. This place is awful, sure they put a face lift on the place, but they have not fixed the underlying issues (plumbing, heating, a/c). Don't say you weren't warned about this place!!!!!
