I agree wholeheartedly that this place is god awful. The place is managed by a couple of very young girls who think they are wonderful wielding such power over us meager residents. I too have had some of the same problems described here. My front door handle was coming off so they come and tighten a screw, rather than actually fix the problem which is that the screw is going to hold on to the cheap door any longer. So no surprise to anybody it falls off. Monday we tell them that the door handle has fallen apart in such a way that if we leave, we won't be able to get back in and, more importantly, that AGAIN the sewage line has backed up into my bathtub. So much backfill that it flooded the floor from the bathroom to the kitchen -- with sewage! That's POO! It was about 4:00pm. They close at 6pm. No one came! No one called! The next morning I couldn't go to work, both because I couldn't shower (and the sight and smell was actually making me ill) and my door lock would have made it so no one could get back in anyway. Now this was the second time this house backed up with sewage. So the next morning, I went to find out why no one was coming. They said they'd send someone. The 'new' maintenance guy spent 5-1/2 hours snaking all the drains -- 25 feet of snake. At 5:00pm when I asked when the plumber was coming, she said 'Well I really need my OTHER maintenance guy to look at it first. He knows about these things and he can probably fix it. He was out sick today. He will come look at it tomorrow." So what I am telling you is that this management company thinks that it is perfectly reasonable to leave me sitting in a house filled with ---- for over 48 hours. Same thing last time this happened too. There was 48 hours they let me sit here. That's not to even TALK about all the other issues. They are so arrogant, useless, and bitchy that I'd be here all day writing this. So hordes of ants that I think must live under the houses so when you come, expect them. When and if you can get them to spray, it doesn't get rid of anything. Same water bill problem -- if you pay your rent online, the amount it shows doesn't match the paper bill which includes the water bill. So if you pay online without using the amount from the paper bill, well you'll have a past due amount and they will report you for having negative balances even if it's less than $20. I have seen a third property manager in my time. There has been one maintenance guy that has been here but he's just like them. When I had left my fireplace flew closed, he pretended to care about me and said he'd come by the next day to help. Help' His help was to drop off a bill for several thousand dollars to have my house scrubbed for smoke films, repainted, and carpets professionally cleaned! Thanks for the help -- next time just stab me! The list of property rules is something you get AFTER you sign your lease and your stuff is in their parking lot with a moving van. It is two legal pages long! I have two teenagers who were very upset to read some of them. If you are really okay with all this, go ahead and rent but you better have your own plumber, exterminator, carpenter, and don't pay your rent online. And tell your kids that playing outside is going to have to wait until you move somewhere else. My advice: run -- run as fast as you can away from these people!!! The primadonna women there are more worried about their lipstick and shoes than whether or not you are sleeping in a room of crap, with ants climbing over your snacks while you sleep (Raisin Bran is a really bad idea here).

I live in the apartments right next to the Reflections (the Bluff's) and we have a serious ant problem too.We've resorted to storing our cereal and bread in the refrigarator.Who the heck likes bread? I hate Columbia.

Wow. I was thinking about living here (5/23/09). I thought it was odd that when my husband and I walked into the front office it smelled like sewage as well. When we asked the young lady what that smell was she simply said "Oh I don't know. It wasn't here this morning and now it here the afternoon". Perhaps she was use to that smell, but we could obviously see that some sewage problems existed. Thanks for the head up.

Thanks for the heads up. I was going to move in early next year, but after reading these reviews...Ya I don't think so. I feel bad for the pain you been through. Good luck getting out of there.
