I am saddened by the fact the owners of the property continue to disregard the continued concerns of residents at Tamar Meadow, and the surrounding community. Columbia was designed to provide a safe haven for those who were challenged to live elsewhere because of diversity. The cost of living at "the Meadow" was over priced, exorbitant and a lot much before the economy bottomed out, so to say you get what you pay for or your money's worth is not an accurate assessment. Noisy neighbors, crime rate increasing. What in the world. What happened to the police or security on the property to watch out for the residents young and old. The rodents, insects, lack of service, and overall poor, poor customer service [BAD - PMS ATTTIUDES], poor accounting records, what will it take for someone to make adjustments and correct these issues. Dominion Realty used to own the property, and they did not care...even at the upper levels of management/ownership. Take your money, turn a deaf ear, and run. Are there any good lawyers that can comment or provide direction on how to handle these concerns.

Rent court is an option. It is a lengthy process though, and you will have to take time off from work to get the results necessary. Mind you though, if you thought the property was hostile before, look out.

To all who review all of our notes, comments and concerns, check thoroughly before you sign a lease. Ask lots of questions. Make the rental office tell you some general information about where they are placing you. Pull stats from the local HC Police department on what crimes have been committed in the area. And if you have children, find them lots of activities elsewhere, and by all means do not leave them on the property at home alone.

Do you live in a bottom floor unit? Because in your posting you stated the roaches and rodents rule! Are you have a personal roach and rodent problem? Or are you saying that the grounds are filthy and that's where you see the rodents? You have roaches for two years and you still live there?
