DO NOT LIVE HERE!

Years at this apartment: 2002 - 2003
I moved into Hannibal Grove in Feb of 02. I was was completely taken by the large apt for the low amount of money. I was very excited when I moved in, I felt it was truely a "home" to me. I really enjoyed living there Feb through June.
June came and things started to unravel. My car got stolen from the Hannibal Grove Parking lot in June. As summer appraoched, it became well known that our AC DID NOT WORK. The management said that we had something blocking the air intake. We moved it. It still did not help. So basically we went June-August with little to no AC. We had to buy portable AC's.
In Sept. we had new neighbors move into the building. They were a complete nightmare. They were out all hours of the night, blaring music, yelling and talking. It was a complete miserable experience. One time we went to them and asked them to please be a little more courteous, and from there on there was a vendetta against us. They vandalized our car on 5 occasions. One time jumping on it, completely denting the hood. They attacked both me and my room mate. The management did absolutely NOTHING. They said that they had no grounds for eviction. Well finally they got evidence that instead of just one person living in the apt. there was four. So finally they got their 60 day notice. In the 60 days there were 2 huge drug busts on them. It was horrible. Finally after they got evicted they broke back into the apt. because they had no place to stay. The were banned from the apt, and they still came back. They constantly threatened us to the point that we could no longer keep our cars in the community. For 2 weeks we had to rely on one car. The management had absolutely no control over this situation. Finally in Jan. we had to break our lease and get out of there.
Hannibal Grove does have nicely sized apts, but the complex is truley ghetto. Most of the the apt. complex is section 8. There are people walking around the ground at all hours of the night. Do not let them fool you by telling you that there is a police on the grounds every night. Trust me, we were lucky to see one once a week. The management team is completely disorganized. I will say that the maintence team was absolutely wonderful. They were the nicest group of guys I have ever met. Beware of this property. If you have nice things, people on living in this community will destroy it. qmzu4EHcaGAPVCPw2Fai
