The Berkshires of Columbia formerly Hannibal Grove

This place gave me one of the worst tastes in my mouth about renting apartments. I'm military and have lived all over this country and the world. The office manager is a horrible, horrible person. Last year I had to break my lease early because of a deployment. I followed typical military protocols, the apartments "honored" my military clause, but a few months after moving out I got a notice (my wife did) that I owed them a full months rent when I had moved out 5 days into the month. I have not been able to settle this as of yet, have a law office after me, and the complex is ignoring my calls and emails. Not only that, while I lived there, two murders took place. The complex did nothing to ensure safety to its residents. If you want to live in Columbia, a very nice community, be sure to live as far from this craphole as you can. The community of Columbia needs to boot the management team out of there, it's a time bomb. Good luck. SEk1KnECheF1ATXbXtrZ

Well said!!! I thought this was going to be another management imposter posting. The managements posts all of these great comments about this place and as you stated it's a "time bomb waiting to happen"! Luckily we both got out, some people weren't that lucky!!!

I agree with the gentle from above. The manager is a horible, horible person with no heart for the residents that live in there. She is a fake individual and will smile and grin in your face but is the most evil person to placed as a property manager. They treated us very nasty, try to put us out with no phone call saying anything, no warning, everytime I turned around they try to send court papers to my home telling us to move and we didnt know what was going on each time they pulled that crap, oh and they have the nerve to take sides of neighbor disputes too. It seemed to like they might be a little prejudice at times as well. I wouldn't authorized or tell anyone that they are safe when moving there ESPECIALLY if they have families. It's not stable enough to live there and if you do move in there you will eventually see that the manager does not give a crap about you or your family. Oh and don't call the district manager or none of them at the management, they don't return calls. I waited for 2 mmonths to get a call back about a serious rental dispute after several messages. It seems to be NONE of them don't care about you and all of them I think personally STICK together cause the management is very unprofessional and inconsiderate, igorant, nasty and I can go on and on.
