I moved in Saturday:
PROS:
Sylvia Cotton was absolutely fabulous in the whole rental process. In out walk-thru she noticed some problems that we didn?t notice ourselves and the maintenance man was there in five minutes. The carpet was new and the walls in nice condition. Parking is not that bad.
CONS: The rent is 960. For columbia, it is understandable, BUT, not with Section 8 housing living in the same complex, let alone the same building. They tore down Murphy Homes in baltimore then shipped the Hood Rats to Oakland Mills. And yes, I know the difference between class and ghetto trolls. I saw a roach and a millipede, which isn?t cool at all. Also in the bathroom, the only electrical outlet is conveniently located between two hot ass light bulbs in the light fixture above the medicine cabinet. So if you?re short, get a step ladder; and if you don?t have a steady hand, prepare to get burned.
Also, there is a SERIOUS ant problem!! It's rediculous. Once food is finished you HAVE to put it in the trash.
Also, our rent was late for May, and they send us a letter on how they have a reputation for evicting people for late rent. If you have "reputations for deliquency" they say they file for immediate eviction. The letter is totally unprofessional.
