Myself, my boyfriend and my pets have lived at Dorsey's Forge for 4 painful years. As I sit and write this review, two police cruisers pull up outside my window. During my time here, my car has been vandalized, I walked in on a man sleeping in the laundry room, I opened my blinds to get some sunlight and instead got an eyeful as a man stepped out of his truck with a beer and his gentiles in his hand while he urinated directly in the front row parking. I've seen several people pee behind the dumpster. I've seen rats behind the dumpster. I have had a gigantic hole in my shower that has been fixed three times that I'm tired of getting fixed- so I leave it there. I had a rodent of some kind in my ventilation duct for two days, because it was over the holiday weekend. My furnace caught on fire when the maintance man tried to relight it with a match and it blew a back draft. I was accosted in the parking lot by a drunken man from the apartment complex behind ours who wanted to know if I was home alone and unfortunately I happened to be. Just two weekends ago we called to Police because a man was trying to run his girlfriend/wife over with his truck and she was punching the truck with her fist. That last about 30 mins. The laundry room is the worst thing. The washer was broken for 2 months. When it would "work". There would be an inch of water on the floor after running one load. Each 12 apts are supposed to share 1 washer and dryer. But the people from the building next to us would come over and use ours, (if ours was better then theirs- I'd hate to see theirs). And this is disgusting, I actually saw human FECES on the floor on the laundry room. I called the emergency maintance man. He said that it was an ER and it was his job. The apartment next door to me...I could not tell you how many people live there. My guess would be 20' This place is bad. We hated being here. We had to be here. We made the best of it; I never invited any friends here because we were embarrassed.
