Crofton Village Apartments

Only as a last resort

Years at this apartment: 2002 - 2003
My in-laws stayed here temporarily for one year until they found a permanent place to live in the area. It was a horrible experience for them. MD route 3 is loud, as well as the noise from the Crofton drag racing strip every weekend. Lots of latinos milling about at all hours of the day and night (thank you for coming to the USA, get a job please!). The outside dumpsters were always overflowing with trash, and snow removal was a joke. Had a terrible time with kids lighting fires in the hallways. The children have no place to play, so it's the sidewalks and parking lots for them. The apartment's interior, while freshly painted prior to move in, had that 30 year old look to it (old cabinets, appliances, bathrooms). It took several calls to maintenance to get anything fixed.
I agree with a previous review, it's pretty much the slum of Crofton (a very nice town!). It's right smack in the middle of developments sporting half a million dollar homes. I'm glad that my in-laws could afford to get out of there; I feel sorry for those who are stuck in Crofton Village.
