I have just ended my lease here at Keswick. My overall feeling of this neighborhood is a good one. I LOVED it here. I lived on the front side behind the shopping center and I can honestly say that I had no major problems. Except for the fact that people don't pick up after their dogs. I did voice a complaint about this and it took awhile for a letter to be sent out about it, but other than that........ Thanks to the staff (Grace, Deseree, and the young man whose name I can't remember) They were always so friendly and helpful, and Will (the maintenance guy) I only needed him twice for minor fixes. Rae (the manager) was very helpful and polite. I would definatly recommend Keswick Park to people looking for a new home.

6 Month Review:

I have been a resident now for 6 months and here is my updated quick review.
Minimal noise (people going up and down the stairs) and the delivery trucks at the shopping center) but you can close your window for that.
No complaints with appliances. I don't have the upgraded appliances, but I'm still satisfied! Ample room inside of apartment( I have the 1 bd loft) Always enough parking. I don't have to rush home for fear that I'll have to park all the way around "robin hood barn" just to find a space. People are friendly! I hate to say Hi to someone and they act like it's too much for them to open there mouth and speak. The rental office staff is pleasant. Maintenance is good!
Bottom line I'm pretty satisfied with my move to Crofton, I have no complaints!

Previous Review:
I will be a new resident in Dec. I read these reviews before I visited the property, and still I went and checked it out. The property was nice and clean. I didn't have a problem with the staff. I do however think that the rental rates for the renovated apartments are ridiculous! Some of the reviews stated that the electric bills are crazy high. Can someone just give me a little example of what they consider high and apt size. I currently pay electric where I live now and my Pepco runs about 100.00 or so in the winter and of course lower in the summer.

For a one bedroom apartment our BGE bill was well over $200, and I know there were some there that had 2 bedrooms that paid over 300-400 maybe a little more. You haven't had a problem with the staff yet, but I don't think anyone ever does at first, you have to be living there to have an issue. It's just too expensive there for what you get, and the previous management was much more efficient. Hopefully you are not in the back of the complex by the shopping center because if you are a light sleeper you will hear the trucks loading very early in the a.m., not to mention the walls are pretty thin so you can hear your neighbors if they are the least bit loud. I think you only have the option for Comcast and not Verizon too for cable. There are better places in the area to live that aren't as pricey too, but you might have to be on a waiting list.

we had a 2 br and our bill was 250-300, and this was back BEFORE the rate hike. we had to have a space heater in the living room because the windows let so much cold air in. good luck, as the staff was really nice until AFTER we moved in (well, actually the DAY we moved in, you can see my review for further details...)

I am moving to the community in Dec as well but before I move I would like to know of other places I can move before I sign the lease I dont want to pay that much for an electric bill. Please help

If you are paying more than $200 for electricity I would definitely recommend putting in a work order to have the staff check your heating unit. We had one electric bill of $330 last winter and put in a work order right away and the maintenance crew found a problem with our unit. They fixed it and our electric bills have been less than $150 ever since.

My husband and I are considering moving there with our daughter. What are your thoughts now that you moved in.

My thoughts are that I like it here. Everyone has their own opinions about it, but I have no complaints. It's quiet aside from the usual sounds of traffic and the occasional child playing outside. I'm waiting to see how it will be once summer hits and the kids are out of school. My electric bills aren't ridiculous like some people claim theirs to be. I would recommend it.

Thanks for the update liv_n_lrn. I am an easy going person so I'm hoping my experience at Keswick Park is a good one. It seems like your views are very realistic which is what I was looking for on here.

good reviews. the electrical situation is interesting since apartment management should be proactive about problems with the units heating and/or a/c. maybe we will pop on by and check it out.
