I have lived at Oakcrest for 8 months and can't say it's the worst place to live (especially in the area it is located). The staff has generally been nice to me. I can't say they know my name (like when I was getting ready to move in my leasing agent knew my name and even called to see how my furniture shopping was going). If you are wonder what building I live in it is 2031. I have a friend who lives in 2100, which of course everyone knows gets first dibs on everything (far as renovations and so forth), but she told me my building is consider the ghetto part of Oakcrest...lol. She told me to watch out for the fire alarm always ringing and the fire department always coming. I didn't believe her, but since I have been here I have 4 fire incidents. One happen the first week I moved in and one recently happen across the hall from me. My other negative experience I have had was when we had a power outage in the entire building and there were no type of emergency lighting in the hallway and i almost fell up and down the stairs. When I drove to get some food (because when your power go out that means no cooking)I notice that on the side that the rental office is on the lights were on. But in general my stay has been decent, but I will be moving when my lease is up due to the fact I need more rooms and I know for a fact my rent will go up (even if I stay in the 1 bedroom I have now).

I am surprised that someone said that side is the ghetto side...Everyone usually thinks that is the best side to live on. I lived in that building and I had no problems at all.. I can agree with you on the fire alarm thing...it used to bug the hell outta me esp since I was pregnant and didnt feel like getting out of the bed! Besides that I loved it...just moved bc the 2 bdr were a little pricy. I thought the other side was the bad side... Our side was the first to get the parking gate and our lobby looked much better but i could be wrong maybe things changed since I left last year..
