I have been a resident here for a very short time, but already, the changes are clear. The new people are picking up trash and they even added security. There are still many things wrong, but the things they are trying to do is welcomed. I even heard they are going to paint the hallways. Even with nothing else, to have security here during the day makes me feel better. I'm glad that the old company is out and the new one is here. I hope it keeps getting better!

Im sorry but that security team is bogus. They sleep in the cars and chill during the day. And during the evening I've seen one in particular going in and out of the rental office after hours with different woman. I can only guess what they are doing in there but it doesnt take a rocket scientist to figure it out. The maintenence staff sucks and the property is more concerned with making the property pretty and not really the tenants. Basically after you move in your on your own. I hope they do get better but right now in my book they still have a ways to go

I haven't actually moved into Penn Landing just yet, but I do have my keys and will officially move in on 6/27/09
What I've discovered thus far is that the office staff are not all on the same page in regards to providing accurate information to incoming tenants (me in particular). Also, I was not informed up-front about all the information I needed to provide, i.e. necessary paperwork in regards to my pet, 2 copies of my most recent pay stubs, proof of renter's insurance before key is given, my animal's vet record, the cost of the application fee had to be in money order form and not actual money, etc. Instead I was given information piece by piece. Once I arrived at the office -oh we can't give you your keys until you provide us with proof of renter's insurance ... or .... I go to pay my pet fee and then I'm told ... Oh, you have to provide us with a copy of his most recent rabies record. I mean, geesh, tell me what I need up-front and I will provide it to you. Don't wait until I arrive in your office and sitting at your desk then you inform me of these things!!
Another thing that blew me was ... I wanted to have my direct tv transferred to Penn Landing. Well, you can only have the satellite dish installed if you carry out the following: 1) fill out a form in the rental office, 2) provide rental office with a $200 money order, and 3) provide the rental office with proof of renter's insurance of at least $200,000. Well, I guess I won't be having Directv anymore. This is the first time I've rented under a management company and it appears to be a money pit and I told them so. I mean, it's a damn fee for everything!! I was shown the laundry room and it was hot as hell in there. No a/c. I complained to the manager and informed her that with all the money the company is collecting from tenants, there should be an a/c in the laundry rooms. Someone could fall the fu*&^ out on a really hot and humid day.
Lastly, I have a renovated one-bedroom and the workmanship is pretty decent. It's definitely an upgrade from where I'm coming from.
