Please think twice. I didn't even get to move in before I quickly changed my mind. They lured me in with a great special for a two bedroom. But this was the deal. First they told me I had it on my own, then they said I needed a co-signer that made atleast $80,000 (I'm like I might as well get a house if I have someone to co-sign that make that much), then it was I got it on my own AGAIN, then wait a minute no, you need a cosigner. So at the time, the deal was cool, I found a co-signer, and then we got approved, but wait, no you're not approved, but wait, no, you are "I'm going to fax you an employment verification form." We're still waiting on that form. Next they lost the paperwork, then found it again, but then only to lose it again... At this time I contacted their cooperate office, only to get the run around. After speaking with the manager of the company, things seemed to be going fine.. But don't wipe your forhead yet, the leasing agent is out today.. And tomorrow, oh by the way she was out yesterday.. and last week too. So when is she returning' A nonchalant "I don't know" came from a almost looking teenage girl. FINALLY the leasing agent is back, only to sound upset that it's me yet again calling. I started the application process May 06, buy August 06 I said the HELL WITH IT... Give me my money back. The funny thing is out of that 3 months, they placed me in about 5 different buildings. Gave me the addresses and everything..
THE NEIGHBORHOOD. The neighborhood appeared ok, considering it's Suitland you know. I would say definitely try to move towards the front, and not in the rear. Definitely do drive bys' and see what you think about it. I hear parking crazy over there at night. And they only give you 1 pass and 1 visotors pass per apartment. So sorry if you have more than one vehicle or a roommate. Somebody gotta give up a car. (laughing).
THE APARTMENTS. Overall the apartments are nice. They are roomy and cozy if you make it your own. I know this from family and friends living there or lived there. From what I'm told, they are quite slow with maintenance, but quick to tell you you're late with rent. But that's majority of apartment complexes nowadays.
Anyhow, I wish you luck if you decide to reside here. Maybe I just had a bad experience, or maybe I just wasn't ghetto enough. I don't know.
