I think it is simply a matter of getting what you pay for. You can't expect to live in a superb apartment community living in DISTRICT HEIGHTS. I think it all depends on what street you live on. I have lived there since 1999 and didn't have any issues until I moved to the back portion of the neighborhood in 2001. I was robbed, and my car stolen & broken into. I agree with one user about the management staff. They have a very high turnaround rate. This is the 4th property manager that has been there since Ihave been there. The staff is ghetto as heck depending on who you speak with. My most recent move to Atwood street was a pleasant one. I lived toward the bottom of the hill before the stop sign. If I had a maintenance concern it was handled properly and in a timely manner. Parking is bad though, especially on the weekends. The walls are thin and if you live on Atwood or Alpine that is definetly the section 8 South East portion of the neighborhood. If you are going to move there, don't move to the top of Atwood by the rental office or Alpine.

Can anybody be specific with where the most drug and ghetto activity is? How is the apartments across the street from the rental office by the laundry facility?
