My experience with the apartment community is similar to some. When doing the application they will get back to you in 48hrs. to tell you of the sec. deposit, but completing the paperwork is another thing. They ask for so much financial information that is like going to the IRS. Once you think you are completed, months later they call and ask for the things they should have got BEFORE putting you in the apartment.
Next, the Intercom and buzzer system for most of the buildings are OUT DATED and not working. You have to leave your apartment with your keys at all times, if you don't you won't get in. When tenants dont have keys and friends are home, they yell outside to the apartment window (like they can hear them)and have to constantly yell "I'm not in, I'm not in" If the buzzer system worked most times they won't have to come downstairs to open the door or a nice neighbor like me wouldn't just buzz them in, because you get tired of hearing the security pulled on like there's a fire. Another issue would be the windows, they are fine, but falling apart. They have that sectional look to them, but the sections keep coming off, so one window will have rectangles while the other has just a T.....lol
Also, the walls in the apartments are just ridiculous. I was awaken early one morning to the sounds of a lady giving birth, people fighting, loud music and sexual acts. Now I can look over the loud music because we all like the same music, but I cant get over the fact I can hear someone taking a shower in the other room and it isn't me.
With all of this keep in mind. Its an area with Section 8 and working people, there are going to be kids hanging around AND If you have a nasty attitude you will receive one right back from the Leasing staff.
I have always been nice to the staff because they were helping me get an apartment. They have a lot of activities for the kids in the summer and aftercare for them, plenty of space for kids to play on and off the playground, BUT research the Ele. school before moving.......
All in all its an okay place. Dont expect a mansion, if you have limited funds.
