I am a single mother and needed an affordable place for my children and myself and since I am familiar with the Dundalk area, I chose to give Holabird East a chance. What a mistake! I lived there for my lease period of 1 year and that was 11 months and 29 days too long. Maintenance is horrible. Large hole in wall under my kitchen sink allowed me to see through to other tenants apartment. It also allowed for the uncontrollable roaches to "visit" me. My kitchen faucet cracked in half one day and I called the emergency maintenance number. Three weeks later and still no response. I ended up replacing it at my own expense. I once went 3 weeks with no hot water. Repeated phone calls to maintenance and management did nothing. This is only the beginning of problems. If you rent near the pool area, be prepared to see drug deals all day long and to have your apartment lit up by police helicopters almost every night. No dishwashers, cheapest appliances they can find, old rattling metal windows, sliding glass doors that don't want to slide, plumbing fixtures that were probably new in the 70's. Can you say slumsville'
