If you enjoy peace and quiet then this may not be your place unless you are on the top floor. There is no soundproofing at all between the floors. Many nights I listened to the neighbors above me. They liked to yell, scream, stomp, and it sounded like throw furniture. Many times I was just listening to casual conversations while trying to go to bed, and I could actually understand them. People seem to like running over the street lights which take forever to be replaced. The dryer never did dry properly. It appeared to be new when I moved in as were all appliances and cabinetry, but after about 6 maintenance trips for the dryer (and removal of birds nests, supposedly) I just gave up. It will run up your power bill to dry a load of clothes (2-3 cycles on average). When the heater froze up in the middle of a bad cold snap (it literally turned into an ice cube), they turned it to emergency heat where it ran non-stop for 4 days while it thawed. Can we say triple power bill' No concession made at all. Watch out for the neighbors who like to drop their cigarettes in the (very flammable mulch). If I hadn't been home that day, I might have lost it all. Front office staff are very friendly and helpful, but that doesn't make up for everything else. Chatham Village is a much nicer complex, but you can't get into it. Unfortunately, there are only two complexes in Easton that I know of that aren't either Section 8 or very income restricted, so your choices are real slim. It's not the worst place I have ever lived, but far from the best either.
