The community looked ok when we first decided to rent there. We found out pretty quickly that it is not a nice area. If you are looking at Seven Oaks because it is in Harford County, be aware that Edgewood is the armpit of Harford County. The elementary school consistently does not meet minimum requirements (according to the newspaper). The gas station down the street (on the same side) is littered with used needles. The community behind Seven Oaks (behind Mount Vernon Ct) is full of hoodlums that jump the fence constantly. Maintenance did try many times to prevent this problem, but was unsuccessful. The older kids in the neighborhood are disrespectful and trouble makers. Do not leave anything outside, lock your shed at all times and leave nothing valuable in your car! I would never intentionally move there again, especially with my children. The neighbors can be very rude. Their twenty-something children are out with their music blaring at all times of the night for hours. Their unleashed dogs poop on your patio (or worse, they run into your house and bring their fleas). Office staff will take your complaint and do seem to address it. However, we had a problem with a broken lock on our patio door the entire time we lived there. Maintenance came out to fix it so many times, I stopped calling. I just had to rely on multiple bars to keep the low lifes out. It shouldn't be that hard to fix/replace things. I agree with other reviews. Do NOT expect your security deposit back. I lived there for 2 and a half years and took very good care of my carpet. I cleaned it a few times a year. They kept my deposit to replace it anyway (and tried to charge me MORE than my deposit which I didn't let happen). Even the upstairs which we rarely used. We just used our bedrooms for sleeping- how much can you damage a carpet while sleeping'! Also, you WILL have ant problems. Every person I knew who lived there had terrible ant problems. Parking is unassigned. One bedroom houses are supposed to have one space, two and three bedroom houses get 2. However when your neighbors have themselves and 5 of their grown children in one 3 bedroom house, parking can be nonexistent. Office staff will do nothing to help your situation. Do not live in this horrible, ghetto community. You will regret it.
