JPI is worse than Buzzuto but still not bad

Perhaps I come with low expectations having lived in College Park and Annandale, VA before, but this place seems just fine to me. I've lived here for 3 years and haven't had many problems. When management recently switched from Bozzuto to JPI things became less nice (office staff fairly clueless and hours not great), but still just fine when it comes to the important stuff. Maintenance was good with Bozzuto and is still good with JPI. I've never had to wait more than a day for a repair. The "crime flyers" that we've gotten have all been for minor crimes and almost always outside the apartments (my favorite: "people have been stealing luxury car hood ornaments", if that requires a posting, then crime isn't too bad). The new management could stand to take better care of the gym (I don't think they've fixed a single thing since they took over) and figure out how to write postings that aren't incomprehensible (when it takes two college educated people a 10-minute date to figure out what the apartment management is trying to say, you know there's a problem) but all in all this place is fine. If you're looking to move around here, I'd first take a look at Bozzuto's nearby properties, I'm sure they're better run.

I've had my license plates stolen, but never reported it to JPI. And there have been several motorcycles stolen in the complex as well. Not exactly high crime, but enough to be weary.
