I've lived here for a year and half. We had a roach problem, courteousy of the empty apartment next door, it took them 6 months to get rid of the roachs. Now my Air Conditioning is broken! I reported it broken over a week ago and its not yet fixed. The leasing office won't call us or return the messages that we leave for them. It's been over 90 degrees several days this week! My roommate and I are furious with the way they treat the current residents! Plenty of money gets spent on re-modeling for new residents, how come a new unit can't be bought for current residents' We've lived here for almost 2 years and pay our rent on time every month. Parking is a nightmare! There are 10 spaces for a 12 unit building! We have to pay $30/month to rent a space so that we can park.
Don't rent from here!!!!!!!!

This situation is very unfortunate. However, I have been here for three (3) years. I was here with Bozzuto Management, and have also dealt with JPI Partners Inc. since they took over. While the early stages of the transition were in fact a bit rocky, I do not believe things are as bad as you have stated. I too have had a problem with my air conditioning, and the maintenance and leasing staff have kept me informed on the status of my situation. They informed me that the current heat pump design has been discontinued due to a change in federal quidelines, therefore, they are not able to locate and purchase a replacement. They also informed me that they are in the process of getting estimates to upgrade my outdoor and indoor units. In the meantime, they have purchased a portable air conditioner in an attempt to accomodate me.
As far as the parking is concerned; this is apartment living. No matter what apartment community you are at, there is bound to be a parking issue.... get over it.
In response to the money being spent on remodelling: Who are you to decide where the money is going? Do you manage the portfolio, or even the annual budget? If you want an upgraded apartment, why don't you transfer? But, if you do, i sure hope you don't move into my building, because you sound like the neighbor from hell. God forbid you should be inconvenienced a little.
Why don't you just buy a house and move out. Then the only person you can complain about is You.
You must be a very miserable person.
As for me, I would recommend Sherwood Crossing to anyone who asks.

Don't you just love JPI employees posting comments to make Sherwood Crossing look better than it is. Of course you would recommend this place, you work there.

LMAO - no one except someone in the industry would use the term "manage the portfolio." Way to be slick, JPI employees!

JPI staff are rude and RUDE and RUDE. Not to mention they have no idea what they are doing. Seriously, not a good time to move to sherwood. Its time to get out.

Ya know what, I don't think this is a JPI employee... I think it's my former morbidly obese downstairs neighbor who had my car towed 3 times because I was parked too close to "his" handicapped spot. Thing is, if you want parking at Sherwood you have to give yourself the handicapp of being a lazy fat ass so that you are guaranteed a front row spot every night. And never mind the fact that the only reason I had to park "so close" to his handicapped space was because his non-resident" helpers would park their HUMMER in the 1.5 spaces next to me. And of course JPI never towed them because they were "helping the disabled". Helping him what? Make a sandwich, or a stack of sandwiches? He was able enough to have me towed. So I took this joker's advice and moved out, bought a place, and I am happy to report all my neighbors are thin. Peace out Sherwood!
