An Unhappy Place to Be

My boyfriend and I have lived here for 2 years. We are extremely unhappy.
1) Let's see, there are a lot of morons at Pine Ridge who misunderstand the 15 mph speed limit... they think it says 150 mph. And they LOVE to tailgate. Note: This complex is FULL of young children and they WILL dart out in front of your car.
2) The walls are thin and we hear ALL our neighbors. Dogs included, of course. Not to mention the ever present car alarms that the same yo-yos arm every night knowing full well that a gust of wind will set them off.
3) When we moved in, we were told to pick this place over another complex in Elkridge because we would be allowed to store our boat trailer here. This promise was IMMEDIATELY revoked although there have been plenty of boat trailers sighted in the complex... management claims they are going to have them towed.
4) The walls are paper thin and the appliances are old! They break, trust me.
5) Try to get home from work by 2pm if you'd like decent parking. Of course, this will get you home at the same time as the kiddies so keep and eye on your car... so no one uses it as a soccer backdrop.
6) Management does not listen. And they listen even less to younger folks (I am in my late 20s and have no children). It's very fun to come home from a stressful, 10-hour a day job and get treated like an annoyance (or a child) by the apartment management.
7) The people here are rude. They don't clean up after their dogs... or themselves. And people love to stoop sit in the summer and smoke right below your windows.
8) Thank your lucky stars you didn't live here for the February 2003 snowstorm. We weren't plowed for almost a full week!!!!
For your own sake, live someplace else. And save a buck or two too.

Wow. I couldn't agree more. It looks like we lived there the same years you did. Although I can't 100% blame management for the Feb 2003 snowstorm fiasco, since it pretty much paralyzed the whole county, but you hit everything else right on the head! Big dogs and bad kids. Horrible parking! And I remember one man, he lived in the building diagonal from me (worked for management as a maintenance guy, I think)... he drove a black sports car which he wrecked one night driving too fast on the complex grounds! Wish I had known you and your boyfriend when we all lived there... we could have sulked together.
