They were quick to fix a couple of problems, and the office staff seem friendly enough. I got a discount because of my job.

The walls carry too much sound - especially during rain. I can hear my upstairs neighbor walking around, showering, and worst - when his alarm clock goes off for 20 minutes at a time.

Parking is tight. There are lots of LARGE dogs on premesis.

I live on the bottom floor, so there is a musty smell and some large black ants.

Overall it s alright if it is your first apartment, but I plan on moving as soon as my lease runs out in a year.

Sorry dude but unless you plan to buy, most apartments have these flaws. It come with apartment living.

Anonymous...most crappy apartments have these problems. This si the first place I've been that is this bad. In addition to the ants there are monstrous earwigs and now the upstairs neighbors have shared roaches. Parking is horrible with several people parking illegally and blocking people in. The crime rate in the area is high with the police recommending to move out as soon as possible. The office staff is friendly to your face but they talk behind your back so watch what you tell them.

wow what a great place the staff shares any and all information that is available to them. Yikes. Also you can supply your apartment with the furniture and crap laying around for weeks. Then there is the black mold and or mildew that stays around the windows. When it comes to parking its great if you want to park on the other side of the complex and walk past cars illegally parked there all day and night even after having taken pics and tag numbers

Whoever said that all rental units are like this is a moron. To qualify that, I now pay $700 per month for a 1300 sq. ft. endunit townhouse with a garage built in 2004 that is in practically brand new condition with solid construction, real soundproof firewalls, decent carpet and hardwood flooring, high quality paint and fixtures, and modern appliances. That is literally half of what I paid at this dump 4 years ago for a 1000sq. ft. apartment built in who knows when that had an aggregate smell of body odor ingrained in the carpet from the 100s of previous tenants. Let me be more clear, there is a VERY LARGE company very nearby that employs very smart people. If you were hired by this company, you should be smart enough to know you can do much better for yourself and avoid living in a place like Elkridge.
