Where do I even begin. I'll probably run out of typing space first. When we first moved in the apt was very dirty and completely unacceptable by anyones standards. The old tenant must of had a dog due to the dog hair all over the place. The dog also chewed on every piece of wood in the apt including the wooden trim, railings, doors, etc. They decided to fix these by filling and rebuilding the chewed areas with putty. The walls were poorly painted as they tried to cover numerous water stains that were bleeding thru the paint. The kitchen was disgusting with more dog hair everywhere and dried food caked in the drawer handles and on the countertops. When we complained to the office they said the would send a cleaning service out again but if they came we could not tell. A week later we had to clean entire place again before we move in. Keep in mind we had not even moved in yet but we had already given notice at our old apartment. We complained again and they stated just write it down on our inspection sheet. So when we moved out we would not be reposnsible for they items broke or in poor condition. The drawers in the kitchen we alll out of alignment, the bottoms falling out, doors on the cabinets would not stay shut etc. We took plenty of pictures of all of this just in case. Once we did move in the problems continued starting with the dishwaser leaking, the washing machine was not working, and the oven not working. We moved in during winter when it was cold out and one of the first things I noticed was the cold air rushing in all of the windows. We have been here a year now and the windows have gotten worse. It feels as though all the windows are opened up about 1/2 inch. Even in the summer you can feel hot air blowing in like a hair dryer. Let me just say now that if you don't like to be hot this is deffinitely the wrong place for you. We came home from a weekend trip on a Sunday and noticed that the air conditioner ran from the time we got home until the time we went to bed. (Keep in mind We had complained once about the air condition and they stated it was hard to keep our units cool due to the loft bedroom.) The next morning the thing was still running and it was still about 78 degrees in the apartment. We called the office, they sent someone out, and said it was low on freon. I was irritated that the unit was never inspected before we moved in or regulary maintained. Wouldn't you the unit never worked any better. Called the office, they sent someone out again, and the tech said the unit was working fine. The technician also said that the a/c unit was just an average quality unit and was also to small for the apt and in hot weather we were lucky if the apt stayed cooler than 78 degrees. For the next two months the electric bill was about $400. We lived at St Andrews apts before we moved in here and never had an electric bill above $250 and we kept it fairly cold in the summer. On top of the heat ants began invading the apt and that is no lie. They were every where in every room of the apt and it took over 2 weeks before the office sent someone out to spray around the outside of the building. One new problem is dog crap. Yes dog crap. These lazy animal owners let their dogs crap anywhere and don't clean it up because they want because they want to get back to the couch and watch tv. I'm greated every morning with a fresh pile of dog crap literally right next to the sidewalk 3 feet from my front door. I have a feeling the county health dept wouldn't be to happy with Stonegate's negligance. Needless to say we are very unhappy and started looking for a new place 6 months into our lease. I can assure you the other complaints on this site are not disgruntled employees they are very unhappy tenants. I also guarantee that most of the good reviews are from the office staff trying to save face. Also to add to our stress of the apartment is the children that run wild in the neighborhood. We have witnessed the kids chasing the geese with their gooselings as well as throwing chairs at the geese sitting on their nests so they can get the mother's off their eggs. A neighbor witnessed a beating of a goose so bad she called the police. The total lack of parental supervision is evident. In the early Summer my motorcycle was stolen parked right out front of our apartment. Our roof has leaked 3 times in 2 different rooms and took 2 months before it was completely fixed. Thnaks so much to the maintenance men who left the dust all over my whole bedroom and bed linens from the sanding after the patching. It was a great welcome after a hard days work to come home to. I could go on but why bother.

my thoughts are that this guy is your run of the mill average person who is unhappy with the situation he is in. Judging by how anal he is, his wife probably divorced him, forcing him to move out of St. Andrews and live in stonegate. Rediculous. Just from reading your comments, I'm glad your bike got stolen. Such a cry baby. Like I said in my review, this guy needs to move back to buckingham palace where he had people there to wipe his ass too. I'm suprised the review didn't say "I actually had to bathe myself, I called the office 10 times and each time they said I would have to shower on my own! Horrible!"...Calling the police because of a Goose beathing....I bet the police felt that to be an urgent matter. Or, you could have let your balls drop and yelled at the 10 year old who was "beating" it, just like I do when I see that stuff. Little FYI, take care of ants yourself, stop leaving crap out all over the place. They were in my apartment when I wasn't taking my trash out. God....people like you make me sick. The place is what you make it. If you can find a 2 bedroom apartment in this fashion, for the price you pay, in this location, then take...little FYI...YOU WON'T! This guy is pathetic, and in all honesty, I hope if he hasn't moved that he has. It's people like this that make the development suck. I'm suprised he didn't say his door was egged or car was egged on numerous occasions. If I knew you were the guy that complained, cried, and whined as much as you did, I'm sure I would have made things difficult for you too. I'm suprised your name isn't Munk, you're definitely one anal freak. Hope you have fun at your next place, if I could subscribe to your posts I would, because I'm sure they all say the same thing. So save up some money, find a nice woman, get your divorce figured out, and move back into St. Andrews and play $1400 for a 1 bedroom w/o utilities, at least if the air conditioner breaks somebody will be out within 24 hours...lol...spoiled...
