I included picture as to why you should not sign a lease here. To name a few of the things that are very disapointing considering the amount of money we pay to live here: There are water stains on the ceilings of three different rooms that are only getting bigger, the blinds that are in the apartment are pieces of crap that fall down out of the wall mounts, the furnace filter hadn't been changed (prior to me calling them) in at least a two years before we moved in. Anything I had near a vent was covered with gray filth and dust. More recently, we have noticed ants crawling around our living room walls, on our kitchen counters and even on us, just sitting in the living room..We are on the second floor so obviously more needs to be done then just a simple spraying around the building. Also, our downstairs toilet has had to be fixed four times and still needs to be fixed again. The last time, we were away for a weekend only to come home to the entire bathroom floor being completely flooded and the ajoining bedroom carpet soaked. Although, they came and fixed it, we are still having problems with the toilet handle sticking..that they supposedly fixed three times already. The carpet in our living room was well used before we got here and is disgusting and ratty.
Other than the obvious problems within the apartment, I find it utterly repulsive, having to walk by dog feces everyday to get to my door. Right now, there are two piles of feces that some dog owner didn't pick up and have been there for weeks. I also take nightly walks around the community and I seriously have to hold my nose walking past some apartments because it smells so bad from what the dogs leave and their owners don't pick up. Also, when I look out from my balcony, there are hundreds or cigarette butts all over the lawn from the tenant below (I have included pictures, does not do the filth justice though), not to mention the numerous piles of dog feces they don't pick up. I have a two year old and I absolutely refuse to let him walk on the grass because he'll step in something or pick up cigarette butts. I would also like to mention that the small polluted pond here is disgusting and the geese that flock there leave a ridiculous amount of crap on a 100 ft stretch of side walk that is never brushed or sprayed off. And as one person already said in a review below, the parents in this community do not keep and eye on their children. My husband has already expressed his concern when he almost ran over three children on scooters who did even look before they rolled out into the street. We are scared that they are going to run out in front and we will hit them. This place has some serious rule enforcing to do. Before Stonge Gate was bought out/or under new management (whatever it was), there used to be an adequate website that tenants could go to pay their monthly rent, which was really conveniant. Now there is no site and rent has to be sent in or personally delivered to the office each month. The office staff also complains when we write personal checks. When specifically asked what form of payment they would like, they say PERSONAL CHECKS and money orders. They also leave harrassing notes on almost everyone's door if they are a day late paying the rent. The office staff needs to get their act together and become professional.

If you are looking for an apartment community that is clean, and enforces anykind of animal policy and owner responsibility, doesn't have an ant problem and multiple foundation problems or inconsiderate tenants with disgusting habits, this is not the place for you.I am sorry this sounds incredibly biased, but there are very few positive things to say about this place. It is clear that this place likes to make money and does not care meet the neeeds of its tenants.

One of the very few reasons that my family actually likes about this place is that it has a decent pool. The office staff sent around a flyer telling everyone what the pool hours when it opened. so, shouldn't we actually expect them to abide by those hours. Today, we were told that the office staff made the lifegaurd close the pool an hour and 15 inutes early. This is a huge disapointed considering my son was excited to go swimming and we had him dressed and even walked to the pool...What is the point of having pool hours if the office doesn't abide by them''' This is crap. Once again, they are not meeting the needs of their tenants.Also, on the way back from the pool, four little girls we playing in the street with no parents in sight. What is wrong with people here'''

I would also like to add: This is a rating site. Not a public forum for deranged tenants and office staff to berate each other.
