I've checked out both communities and true Rockwood does have more curb appeal and larger rooms BUT your also paying approx $200 more per month based on a 2 br/2 bath unit '

One of my main concerns is if the electric rates are lower in MD than Delaware ' West Creek is all electric when it comes to utilities. Are the end units in West Creek insulated at all ' Since both units are pretty new I'm assuming the windows are.

Rockwood has gas heat, but electric hw/cooking, I don't know if your saving anything utility wise because of the 58% electric increase in Delaware.

I know Rockwood only allows cats, while West Creek allows dogs. I heard that West Creek is building a new section that is reserved for those without pets or only cats ' Rumor or truth ' Also do you still have to drive through that run down area to enter into west creek or has another entry road been built '

I'd appreciate opinions from anyone lives at west creek or rockwood, thanks

U still have to go thru the hood which is horrible. The drugs and prostition is out of control. I spoke to an Elkton sheriff who used to live here and he said when he reported the problems here to his superiors, he was adviced as all Elkton Police to stay out of this area. The run off from the hood are now renting units in West Creek. Management is horrible and there's alot of drug use amoung tenants. No new entry road has been built and no security has been placed in the security booth which was promised this year 2007.

I am a current resident at West Creek and I would like to correct you on a couple of things. There IS another entrance to go through to get in the apts, its a very nice single family home community. Also none of that drug & prostituion nonsense have made its way to WCV apt complex.U hardly see a soul outside. Lastly WCV is NOT all electric, it has gas heat which is very affordable! I also have to disagree about management being horrible WC is very well managed.
