I rented an apartment on 7/31/2003. Upon move in what was considered move in condition was not what I considered move in condition. The dryer did not work, and I was given 2 options, to wait a week or they would bring one up the next day. Needless to say, I made them bring a dryer up that day, with 3 childen, waiting is not an option. The porch is unsecure, they have come up and fixed the one railing, but it is still unsafe. The windows in the master bedroom will not stay open, the blinds on the sliding door fall off when you close them, the kitchen drawers were sticky and gross inside. I went to put items under the sink and there must have been a leak there and instead of replacing the rotted and concave wood, they painted over it, they had to come fix it. The bathroom towel rack had to be replaced the first day, the smoke detector which was beeping annoyingly when I viewed the apartment (and this was going to be taken care of prior to move in), was not fixed until I called. The kitchen spigot had to be replaced, rotted and broken. Id have to say my biggest problem came this morning at 5 am, I was awakened by the sound of rain coming in from the window in my bedroom. When I called the emergency service (right now, I have 4 towels, and 3 sheets and 2 tablecloths in that area in an attempt to stop the damage), I was told there is nothing they can do until it stops raining so I should use towels. Well for almost $1400 a month I would think they would at least send a person up to divert the water in some manner, instead they have made this my problem. I rent because I am a single parent and cannot care for a home, if I wanted the problem of severe water leakage, I would own a home and repair the problem myself, instead I am faced with trying to move my furniture (shoulder surgery last year is making it impossible)and stop the downpour into my bedroom. So today, I will be late to work due to their maintenance problems and of course in addition to all the other things I have to do, I will have to do additional wash and call my insurance company.

GUESS WHAT...IT STILL RAINS IN MY BEDROOM, STARTED IN SEPTEMBER AND STILL IS NOT FIXED, MY DAUGHTER?S BED HAS PERMANENT TABLECLOTHS ON IT SO THAT WHEN IT RAINS IT JUST SLIDES DOWN TO THE FLOOR...HAVE CALLED THE HEADQTRS OF BOZZUTO MGMT AND WILL FILE A COMPLAINT WITH THE ATTORNEY GENERAL OF MARYLAND IF NOT FIXED WITHIN 5 DAYS!!!!

UPDATE, UPDATE, UPDATE 04/21/2004

THE OLD MANAGEMENT IS GONE, THE OLD MANAGEMENT CAME UP AND "FIXED" MY WINDOW...WHAT THEY ACTUALLY DID WAS CHANGE THE SHADE, THROW SOME PLASTER ON THE WALL AND PAINTED AND GUESS WHAT, THEY DID IT TO SELL THE BUILDING...THEY SOLD THE BUILDING AND DID NOT DISCLOSE MY WATER PROBLEMS AND YES IT STILL RAINS IN MY APARTMENT, BUT IT WILL BE FIXED BY THE END OF MAY AND I AM SUPPORTING THE NEW MANAGEMENT IN THEIR PURSUIT OF BOZZUTO!!!!
