A good "Starter-Apartment"

If you are just starting out, this is an excellent place to live. I've been here for about 5 months now and really enjoy it. I feel safe and secure and my neighbors are pretty nice. I live on the first floor, and the only complaints I have is the woman above me. I swear, it sounds like she's walking around in COMBAT BOOTS. There is little or NO SOUNDPROOFING that can be done to minimize the noise. Luckily, I've spoken to hear about it, and she's tried to "keep it down". However, every morning at 7am, I hear her. I hear her, EVERYWHERE. Opening her closet, deciding what to wear, answering the phone, walking to the kitchen to get breakfast, closing her dresser drawers, droping shampoo bottles while in the shower, EVERYTHING. With that said, if you lived here I would'nt suggest living on the 1st or 2nd floors. These apartments are OLD and that means, your neighbor's floor IS YOUR CEILING. There is literally, no space in between to buffer that noise. But, because I live alone, safety was my main concern, and this apartment complex is safe. Yes, I'm paying ALOT MORE than other people for a one-bedroom apartment, but the amenities are nice and the area is decent.
