I would only recommend this place to smelly, dirty, loud, disrespectful foreigners since they would best fit in here. I have been here since April 2007 and I am counting down the days until my lease ends in the beginning on June. I have lived in many apartments in my life but boy was I fooled with this one. All the unemployed, nasty, smelly, rude foreigners must have been hiding the days I came to look at the property. What a freakin' joke this place is!

The first few months we battled roaches that spread through the building from the 10 Central Americans all living in one apartment in my building. It took months to clear that up after they moved out. Oh, but the leasing office just put them in another apartment on the other side of the property so now someone else is probably dealing with the same mess.

We hear every step the neighbors above us make but unfortunately for us they do more than step. They run, stomp, jump, slam and make more noise than I have ever heard. They have a small child that screams and cries all day and night. They don't attempt to put the child to bed until 11:00 or 11:30 at night which really gets the kid screaming. The man and women yell very loudly at each other in Pakastani or whatever that can be heard throughout the building. We have asked them to keep it down and complained to the leasing office and nothing is done. NOTHING!!!! It is a waste of breath and time.

There is trash all around the property, the animals who live here can't seem to make it to the dumpsters placed conveniently throughout the property. There is dog crap everywhere because people are too freaking lazy to clean up after their pets. I have seen used condoms in the parking lot, razor blades in the grass where I walk my dogs, even a bloody rubber glove once.

The other jerks that live here have no respect for their neighbors and just park however they want and if you ask them to please pull into an actual spot or only take up one spot they cuss you out.

I have given up on complaining to the office cause it has fallen on deaf ears. I have either been blatantly ignored or just blown off. They don't care. But you know what they do care about' That's right...the rent check. You better have it in that box before they get into the office the morning of the 5th every month! Otherwise, they can raise your rent, kick you out, make you give them certified checks and many other punishments.

The bottom line is and this is the flat out truth...if you are a self respecting hard working white person - DO NOT EVEN CONSIDER LOOKING AT THIS DUMP!!!! The black people are even moving out because the foreigners here are dirty, rude, disgusting and in no way interested in acclamating into the American way. Stay away from this ---- hole!

Wow. What a scathing review. My building and the majority of my block are chock full of foreign families of all nationalities. I have yet to find any significant complaints personally regarding this neighborhood! I do see a few garbage bags or other trash carelessly strewn about the dumpster area from time to time but it is never outside of those areas! I was late once with my rent and the rental office was very helpful and understanding with the situation and I did not face any penalties! All I had to do was talk to them face to face and explain the situation. Overall I have been here for several years now and have had quite a nice experience living in Charleston Manor.

The review is absolutely dead on. Loud, smelly, and rude. Unfortunately that describes a majority of renters. Oh and I love the inconsiderate jackasses that can't park and just don't care. Like there isn't enough parking as it is! Too bad those of us that post these unfortunate but true messages can't all just claim one building as the "normal, considerate" people building!

Yeah if you read some of the reviews you will notice that KButer is always taking up for the property, I do not believe that this is a true renter, if it is then he/she should really get a life and spend more time outside of the apartment rather than sitting on the pc responding to all of Donaldsons negative ratings.

Wow. You must have moved into the building I moved out of because that was EXACTLY my experience there, word for word! Thank God I got out, I can't tell you how nice it is to be out that dump and live once again in a normal place with normal neighbors. I lived there for many years and it wasn't as terrible before Donaldson took over, once they did it went down fast so I left. And yeah, "Mr. Butler" is actually one of the girls from the rental office.
