My name is Samantha. In March my family and I were very excited to move in to this apartment homes, Dominion Great Oaks, in Ellicott City, Maryland. It was exactly what we wanted, I garden like surrounding, quiet neighbors, so we thought. In May while my husband and I were bringing groceries into our home, a neighbor in the community found it necessary to steal our keys. Keys to our home and to our car. Immediately we called the office, they would not change our locks or give us new keys with out us paying a fine. The next night our only car was stolen. Thankfully our car insurance has wonderful customer service and know how to take care of their clients. Sadly the staff here at the apartment complex does not know the meaning to good or even descent customer relations. Then the staff tried to slyly get a copy of the police report, knowing that they were not allowed to have a copy of this. Later our car was recovered. The three out of four that were caught were let out of jail. I had to complain to the office about these ones leaving dirty condoms on our patio, and throwing cinder blocks up against our building, hanging around inside our building after mid night. Yet the office did nothing. My husband could not sleep because he was afraid that they might break in. He works night work and was afraid to go to work leaving myself and our 19 month old baby alone in the apartment. Thus we decided to move for our safety. Now we are being threatened by the staff about collections and attorneys. is this company really more worried about money then the safety of the residents' I find this troubling. How much does my family need to go through' We already have to go to court and face these perpetrators. It is a very scary thing for us. I would hope that none of you are put in this situation. If it was not for the staff and the low lifes that they allow to live in the community, It would have been our best apartment ever.
