I like it here

I've lived here for about a month now and I was a bit put-off by the other comments that I read before coming to see this place. I'm glad that I came to see it anyway. I'm paying the same amount for a 2-bedroom as most places around here are charging for a 1-bedroom. It's a good deal and a nice place to live.
I've had a few maintenance issues, but they've been fixed quickly (within 3 days). It is an old complex (mid-1970's I think), but they've done a lot to improve things. My cabinets and linolium flooring are all new, the appliances are new, the fixtures in the bathroom and kitchen are new too. They are replacing everyone's balcony with a new wooden one--much better than what is here now.
I think it's been very nice--the building is very quiet (reading some of the other reviews I find it odd that they talk about "thin walls" as I've never heard my neighbors--through the walls or the floor/ceiling).
The pool is great and the grounds are really pretty--set in a grove of old oak trees. There is a state park just down the road and the location is terrifically close to everything.
I'm a single woman and feel very safe here. I would check it out if I were you. It's a nice place to live.
