The Elms at Montjoy

I agree with the person who said this place kinda sucks. The state trooper who responded obviously lives where there is no more construction. We just moved in to a new building and it is way noisier than management said it would be. Also, just because only one crime was reported (which isn't true- check your Howard blotter, at least break-ins have been committed here), doesn't mean only one has been committed- I myself have witnessed the other people from other communities trespassing and bothering residents. Just because there is LESS crime here than other places in Columbia, doesn't mean this is a good place to live. It's okay, but I would hardly call Target and Kohls "good shopping." I wish I moved elsewhere...

What area can you move to that has zero crime? No where in Howard County, so if you were choosing a place to live, wouldn't you choose a place that has very little crime reported compared to surrounding areas that have a much higher crime rate. So why did you move to this area? As far as good shopping goes, it was your choice to live here. It's your responsibility to check out an area and what "good shopping" is around if that is important to you, that's not the responsibility of the rental office. They can't read your mind to know that Target a store that is frequented by most people is not good to you. Maybe you have not explored the area enough to know that less than 10 mins away you have Columbia Mall, Arundel Mills Mall, and several shopping centers with stores from Target, Borders, Old Navy, Kohls, Pier 1, Walmart, Home Depot Best Buy etc...... This is not a hotel with a concierge service, you have to actually do a little research yourself when choosing a place to live.
