I agree with the other posts. The walls are paper thin, the floors squeak constantly, the caliber of people that are rented apartments just dont care. It used to be a ok place to rent. But lately, a lot of younger people are moving in and it just isnt worth the bs one has to put up with to get a good nights sleep. When you go to the leasing office to fill out the application, you do not hear all the noise and such from the people walking on the second and third floor, but for some reason u can and will hear this in the apartment u are given. If you luck out and get a person above you with some sense, it is a blessing. If you get a person who is silly and ignorant, I feel sorry for you. Management really needs to do major upgrades to these apartments. They talk about fair market value on rent prices, the apartments are not worth what they are charging. If you want to be subjected to not being able to sleep, listening to people stomp till your windows rattle, peoples children jumping over ur head and the parents doing nothing about it,pipes making noises all through the night, listening to ur neigbors from the third floor talk, have sex and stomp through the apartment,then Queens Purchase is for you. If u work and need sleep at night, it is not for you, or if you wish to have peace and quiet at night. Lets not talk about the child being stabbed in the playground. This should give u an idea of what type of neighbors u may end up having. How can a child go in a house get a knife and stab another child and the parents dont know anything about it' Queens Purchase used to be a very nice place to live. Not anymore. Look elsewhere, unless you dont mind living in a project setting and u dont mind being told different answers to the same question you may ask customer service, because no 2 reps give u the same answer.
