Invasion of privacy, mice, ants... From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 1/29/2008 Years at this apartment: 2006 - 2008   These people come into my home without notifying me to perform minor repairs that I didn't request, but they won't come in and fix the MAJOR repairs! My hot water heater barely gives enough hot water to fill half a bathtub before it's running cold, and I've asked them to look at it 3 times, yet I find out they've been in my bedroom to replace perfectly good blinds. They gripe about the lawn but leave dead bushes and trees in the yard, and took us to court to evict us when the post office lost our rent (we had the stubs from the money orders to prove we had paid, but they still filed!) The mice have ruined literally thousands of dollars of clothing, bedding and furniture, then they tried to say we were the CAUSE, despite the fact that most of the residents have been having problems with them since long before we moved in. Their things break in the "on" position costing us hundreds of extra dollars a month in electricity bills because they refuse to come fix them. The ants have fully colonized the entire area, and expect to do your own exterminating. They say they have free extermination, but it doesn't have any effect on the overall number of pests until you purchase your own products. They get mad about the trash not having tight fitting lids, but every week the lids disappear. Every year, the rent gets a raise and the service gets worse. The drug and crime problem in the neighborhood seems to be growing exponentially, but they won't do anything about it despite numerous complaints from many of the residents. There IS technically parking, but the cars get vandalized and broken into regularly. Other residents make open threats of violence (physical, sexual, against our children, etc) based on our prior military service, and the leasing office does nothing about it. This is one of the worst places I've lived, and I have had occasion to live all over the country. If it weren't for the fact that we accidentally missed the deadline to notify them we were moving, we would be gone already. If you're looking for peace and quiet, this is NOT the place. They will harrass you about something every month.
