Some good/Some bad

I rented one of the "luxury" apartments. Early on my washer broke - it took them two months to fix it (supposedly due to warranty) during which time I had to go the the laundrymat. They credited me $30.00 for this expense. The grounds are nice, the neighbors quiet, and there were a few children for my kids to play with. The office staff were not overly friendly, but usually curteous. The pool was a nice addition, though not open as often as it should be. Court documents for late rent by the 6th of the month was pretty irritating - even when they received it that day. Poor walk-throughs when moving in and lack of documention on my part cost me an extra $60.00 when I moved out because they charged me for a ceiling fan in the 2nd bedroom which was NOT there when I moved in. I purchased one on my own and installed it, took it with me when I left and they charged me for taking it - even though it belonged to me. Supposed stains in the carpet (I had it steam cleaned before I left) cost me another $60.00, even though I lived there for 18 months - so much for normal wear and tear. The apartment itself was VERY nice, with new applainces, and pretty spacious. HUGE CLOSETS! Residents above you can sometimes be noisy due to thin floors/ceilings. Parking in front of our building was a pain most times.
