Disappointed

I have lived at Harford Village North for two years. I was generally pleased because I never made a fuss about anything. The only issues I had were with parking, noise, and insulation. Parking sucked most of the time. You have to be home by 5 p.m. every day in order to get a spot in front of your building. Being a single female, most nights I was left to walk two or more buildings from my parking space. It would not be a big deal, but the lighting is not high quality which made it very dark outside. I lived on the bottom floor and the people above me most times sounded like they were going to come crashing down. You could their every move, where they were located, and most times it sounded like they were having a race around the apartment. Finally, insulation was not that good. My bills for heat in the winter almost reached $200 for a one bedroom apartment because the windows and sliding glass door are very drafted and do not seal properly. I was a great tenant, never complained, and paid my rent on time. WHen it came time to move out, I was treated very poorly by management. I called numerous times to find out about move out procedures and the works, never got a phone call back. I don't find this very professional. So I guess it doesnt really pay off to be a great tenant. I'm glad I"m getting out of here and signing another yearly lease. Oh by the way, you can not get out of your contract under any circumstances, even if you're buying your own home. I am having to pay a full month's rent for not even living there. There are so many other options in the surrounding area that could be much nicer!
