Before I begin, just know that an apartment complex is supposed to have an occupancy of AT LEAST 96%. i should have tok it as a signed when i asked the guy in the rental office and he studdered and stammered and then come to find out, he didn't even know. I've noticed that 3 units in my building are available, the buidling across from me has 2 units available and the one next to me also has two units available. And they've bene available since i moved in so how long were they vacant BEFORE i moved there. I shouldn't have ignored the EVERPRESENT signs!
Now, I've lived in this area for quite a significant time. I've lived in woodland springs and that was great compared to this place. I would have stayed there but i ended up moving to Cali and I'm acutally trying to go BACK to woodland springs AS WE SPEAK!. i've lived in all kinds of environments and even while in cali i lived in an exceptionally great community in Calabasas north of hollywood. So i'ver seen the best and the WORST and doral terrace is the ABSOLUTE WORST!!!! There was a shooting two weekends ago and that was the THIRD weekend that i've heard shooting. Now I live in a quiet little court right by the rental office and my neighbors are wonderful. its just my apartment is the WORST. I have rust stains on my kitchen floor from the fridge leaking all the time and they so-called came to fix it twice already but its still doing the same thing so i requested a NEW one because i must take into account that that is an older model fridge and GARY in the rental office told me they were just going to keep comign to fix it unit it "completely conked out" on me. NOW WHY IS THAT'!'!'!'! Why does it have to come to that before i can get a new one. Then they FOOLED me by getting my to sign this little contract saying that I wouldn't get new carpet and when they showed me the carpet it was still damp from being shampooed so of course it was all evenly one color so i figured "eh" and went on and signed that paper. Two days later i realize that the carpet was looking awfully, i don't know...USED! there are dark stains on this carpet THROUGHOUT the apartment. It's not jsut one or two stains that can be hidden but there are mulitiple dark stains like there were ten families living there before with that very same carpet.
Then I've been here for four months and STILL haven't gotten a copy of my lease so i call about it and they say that they DID give it to me. if they had given it to me, WHY WOULD I LIE ABOUT SOMETHING LIKE THAT!'!'!
my heat broke also, they claimed to have fixed that but i had to call about 5 more times to get it fixed. I've been complained since Dec. about the heat being on but blowing cold air. It's february now and nothing has been done. I've been using my oven to heat the house because it's dead middle of winter and i've talking to both GARY and JANIE about this..neither one has sent anyone over.
And then lets talk about the roaches. The roaches are so bad that I don't even cook anymore because I want the kitchen to stay as clean and possible but that doesn't even help. This is THE worst living situation ever.
The apartments are HIGHLY over priced. It hsould be going for about 500/month. THEN i would expect to get the service and the apartment that I got. But I'm paying nearly $1000($842 to be exact) to live in the hood! I'm at my wits end and I'm going to eskrow cause I'm getting up out of this apartment. I can't take it anymore and i advise that no one even move here because management doesn't give a ---- about you either.
I've talked to this Malcolm Brown character twice already and he doesn't give a ---- either.
And i must say, at first it seemed ok and everyone was all happy go lucky and helpful when i was looking around and they were trying to get that big security deposit out of me. But once i moved in it was "well you've gott to deal with it because managment is not going to do this or that..." yeah ok.
What else am I to but go to eskrow. Never again will I be GOTTEN like this!

That is strange of the office to respond in such a slow manner. They usually get my problems taken care of right away and then call and check up the following day. There must have been something preventing them from being able to complete your ticket. One time they were unable to complete a ticket becuase I had my chain lock on, or was in the shower so they decided it would be best to come back another day.
