Honestly, the 2 apartments that I lived in at the complex have been very large & spacious but that is the only perk that they can offer. I had to bomb my house for "insects" EVERY MONTH... and not because I brought them in, they need to make it a policy to spray all of the apartments at one time & not on a by request only basis. There was a bird in the wall that it took them a month to take out after I reported it a million times... it died. When you pay your rent you basically have to take it to the Merrifield post office so that you will have a receipt that it was hand delivered - even then they may charge you a late fee. I had to pay extra on my electric bills for a broken AC unit that was fixed maybe 5 times & was told that they would not reimburse the extra money that I spent''' I asked to have an itemized list of all of my previous payments & was told that I needed a subpoena to get that information. That information should be available to all tennants at their request - right' They will try to bully tennants into paying bogus late fees, so PLEASE keep all of your receipts and paperwork when dealing with this complex... or better yet, just dont.

Malcolm Brown is lying to you. The law requires them to give you a rental receipt if you request it. Contact the state of maryland ASAP. Go here http://www.courts.state.md.us/district/forms/civil/dccv82tb and read about your rights. There is also a landlord tenant hotline. I had to call that alot to get maintenance to fix issues in my apartment.
